Earlier blogger was kidnapped by unknown group and claimed that this crime is the police.
District court city of Azerbaijan, Surakhany was sentenced to two years in prison well-known Azerbaijani blogger Mehman Huseynov. The latter was accused of slandering law enforcement agencies.
Huseynov claimed to have been abducted on January 9 in the center of Baku in civilian clothes when he left the café and went to a meeting with friends. At this point, ran up to him man, closed his mouth, shoved into a car in the head and threw a bag:
“My 3 hours spent face down with a bag on his head. Beat, I felt that from the nose bleeds. I have been patient. I was out of breath. I was humiliated by the words”, – told after the blogger.
In the kidnapping he accused police officers.
The police filed counter-accusations, saying that the blogger was arrested for assault and showed malicious disobedience to lawful demands of the police officer.
“According to the person who filed charges against the blogger Mehman touched his shoulder. When he demanded an explanation, Mehman scolded him. Then the police arrived,” reported details of detention of Huseynov’s lawyer, Elchin Sadigov.
The court in January Huseynov was fined 200 manats for disobeying the police and freed him.
Thereafter, Huseynov some time collecting money to pay the fine. He did not agree with the court decision and was going to pay the fine as smaller coins. In support of the blogger, many of his fans brought him coins to pay the fine.
When Huseynov said of torture that it was used by police during the arrest, a lawsuit was filed one case is about libel.
Huseynov, widely known in Azerbaijan for his revelatory rollers. In recent months, he prepared a series of video reports about corruption in the higher echelons of power of Azerbaijan, Ministers, deputies and oligarchs. His videos were very popular in social networks.
