The Minister directly did not deny an agreement with the “Fatherland.”
The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov commented on the rumors about a political Alliance with the leader of the party “Fatherland” Yulia Tymoshenko.
“I found that gaining momentum information on my “secret political agreements” with Yulia Tymoshenko… to get Out is not possible – I have to admit – actually I secretly agreed with Levochkin, to elect Kaplin.. President.. schizophrenics,” wrote Avakov in Facebook.
That Tymoshenko and Avakov held a confidential meeting, which resulted in an agreement on mutual cooperation, stated on the eve of journalist Dmitry Gordon, citing its sources.
In 2005-2010 under President Yushchenko Avakov was a member of the party “Our Ukraine” and held the position of head of the Kharkiv region. During the presidential campaign in 2010 Avakov supported Tymoshenko left the post of Governor, he joined the “Fatherland” party and headed the Kharkiv regional organization of the party. When President Viktor Yanukovych Avakov was hiding from prosecution in Italy and returned to Ukraine only after it got into Parliament on the list of “Batkivshchyna”. After the overthrow of Yanukovych Avakov withdrew from “Batkivshchyna” and became one of the leaders of the party “people’s front”.
