Avakov accused the savings Bank in the financing of the militants in the Donbas

He urged the Cabinet to refer to the NBU regarding the urgent introduction of sanctions against Sberbank.

The Minister of internal Affairs Arsen Avakov has accused the savings Bank (Kyiv) in funding militants in Donbas.

He said this during a government meeting on Friday.

“I ask that you and all members of the government discussed the issue of imposing sanctions against the Bank, which after instructions of Putin (Vladimir Putin – President of Russia) made a decision about acknowledgment of the LC and the DNI. The Bank operates in Ukraine, and it finances, in fact, militants. It makes a profit in Ukraine and finances it in the separatist Republic,” the Minister said.

He urged the Cabinet to contact the National Bank and the Council of national security and defence concerning the urgent introduction of sanctions against Sberbank.
