Previously, passengers paid 730 yen (about 6,40$) for the first mile, but under the new tariff, which reduced by 40%, the cost per mile is 410 yen (about 3,60$).
The greatest benefit from the reduction of the tariff will receive foreign tourists, who often use the taxi to travel a short distance.
