The authorities of both countries believe that Russia refuses to acknowledge the impartiality of a Joint investigation team.
Moscow. September 27. INTERFAX.RU Minister of foreign Affairs Maris Payne has accused Russia that it does not want to recognize the results of the Joint investigation group (SSG) to investigate the causes of the crash of the Malaysian airliner over Eastern Ukraine in July 2014.
“I reaffirm our unconditional support of an independent investigation conducted by the SSG. We regret that Russia does not accept the evidence given by RESS to date, and reiterate that Australia has full confidence in his impartiality, independence and professionalism of SSG and its conclusions,” she said after the meeting and discuss the issue with foreign Ministers of the Netherlands, Ukraine, Malaysia and Belgium. These countries are part of the SSG.
Payne noted that “colleagues at SSG … reaffirmed their commitment to finding the truth about who is behind the downed flight MH17 and to bring those responsible to justice.”
A similar statement was made by Prime Minister of the Netherlands mark Rutte.
