Audi has said it almost a million of its cars

850 thousand cars will undergo further revision.

Audi has announced the recall of 850 thousand diesel vehicles worldwide. These machines must be serviced and get updated software.

“Audi offers its customers in Europe and other markets a program for the conversion of vehicles with engines that meet environmental standards “Euro-5 and Euro-6”. A total of 850 thousand cars around the world with six – and eight-cylinder turbo engine will get the software update. Service campaign also affects models of Porsche and Volkswagen, which have similar engines.”

All work will be free of charge. The update should improve the environmental friendliness of cars in real world conditions, say representatives of Audi. Therefore, the automaker hopes to repeal restrictions and prohibitions on the operation of diesel vehicles which now are actively discussed in Germany.
