The inspection is associated with the holding of mass events in the city.
On 21 February, the day of mass events in the center of Kiev, police and national guards inspect vehicles on the entrance to the capital in Zhytomyr highway.
Patrolling is aimed at preventing possible provocations in Kiev and will last until 22 February. Law enforcement officers check cars on the subject of dangerous things.
“Today we are working in emergency mode along with the National guard, stopping suspicious cars for forbidden or dangerous things in order to identify possible provocations in Kiev. Cases,” – said the police.
Note that Zhytomyr highway is the Western entrance to Kiev. On February 22 in Kiev planned a large rally of right-wing nationalists (Svoboda, Right sector, national body), which declared the mobilization of radicals from across the country. Especially many participants are expected from Western Ukraine.
