The second unit of the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant was disconnected from the network due to a malfunction. On Wednesday, January 3, reports the press service of Energoatom.
“A technical failure occurred on the sealing surfaces of the actuator system control and protection of nuclear reactor,” – said in the message.
Background radiation near the plant is in the normal range.
According to the company, at the Ukrainian nuclear power stations work 10 out of 15 units.
