Asus introduced the new ZenBook S13 and called his laptop “thinnest display frame in the world.”
This has helped the original solution: a webcam placed above the screen on a small ledge. The Verge calls this move the opposite of the solution in XS iPhone and many Android smartphones.
Asus claims that the new device is 97% of the surface of the body. However, to achieve this figure could “hide” the lower part of the display over the keyboard.
Screen size is 13.9 inch, on each side of screen has stripes framework with a width of 2.5 mm. Due to this the actual size of the device turned out less than most 13-inch laptops.
S13 got a ZenBook with Intel Core i7 8-th generation, up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal SSD memory. It has NVIDIA ® GeForce ® MX150. Asus claims that this makes the S13 ZenBook “the world’s thinnest laptop with a discrete graphics card”.
According to the manufacturer, these laptops should work even with the newest games on low graphics settings. Games like Fortnite will work even in 1080p at 30 frames per second.
ZenBook S13, like many modern laptops, got two USB type-C, single port USB-A and a microSD card slot, there is also a fingerprint scanner. Sales of the new device will begin in the first quarter of 2019, the price of the manufacturer until calls.
