Scientists have created an animation showing the process of merging 2 distant from Earth, galaxies that reside in the system Arp 299.

According to the Observatory, the system Arp 299 is interesting not only because it is located 2 galaxies merged together. It contains a minimum of 25 bright x-ray sources. 14 of these objects emit so powerful x-rays that they were attributed by astronomers to the “ultra-bright x-ray sources”, or ULX.
Astronomers find ULX in regions where there are violent processes of star formation. According to scientists, the ULX are binary systems where a neutron star or black hole pulls the matter of the neighboring stars, which have a lot more solar.
