Unusual space bridge connects two galaxies.
Why is there a bridge between these two spiral galaxies? This bridge of gas and stars suggests that these two immense star systems have passed close to each other and felt a strong violation caused by the mutual gravitation.
These galaxies, which are over 300000000 light years away in the constellation Virgo, known as Arp 240, but they also have individual names – NGC 5257 and NGC 5258.
The gravitational interaction of supply and not only pulled some of these substances, but also shrank the interstellar gas, triggering the formation of an unusual bridge.
Merging of galaxies is an ordinary matter for our Universe, and Arp 240 is just a short stage in this inevitable process
