Scientists have discovered a new galaxy that is at a distance of 359 million light years from the Sun.
More information about this experiment can be found in the edition of Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
Galaxy PGC 1000714 is an example of a brand new type galaxies. It has an outer ring of young stars surrounding the ancient core. Scientists later found that the center of PGC 1000714 located in two concentric star rings. Nothing like previously, scientists had not previously seen.
Astronomers first discovered koltseobrazno the galaxy in the constellation of the Snake – the Hoag galaxy. Similar objects with a single ring rare researchers, however, Hogan has two almost flat bands. Member of the scientific team Patrick Treuthardt believes the discovery of a “unique”.
