The Syrian leader has said that the United States impose its hegemony around the world.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in an interview with the Venezuelan TeleSUR TV channel said that the geopolitical difficulties faced by Syria, Iran, Russia and other countries is testimony to the desire of the USA to establish its hegemony in the world.
“That’s why what is happening now with Syria, with North Korea, with Iran, with Russia and possibly with Venezuela aimed at restoring us hegemony in the world, because they (the USA − ed.) believe that this hegemony is now under threat,” − said Assad.
Also, the Syrian President noted that the scenario of events in Venezuela, where mass protests against the government, it is no coincidence that similar to Syria, because in both cases they are backed by the United States. He believes that States in Latin America in recent decades has defended the interests of their peoples, which “is unacceptable” for the United States.
“So they use what is happening in the world, starting with the orange revolution in Ukraine and ending the recent coup d’etat a few years ago, what is happening in the Arab world, in Libya, Syria, Yemen, to apply it in Latin America,” added the Syrian leader.
Assad stressed that to assess the foreign policy of the President of the United States Donald trump is useless, since the American President had it not independently determined.
“The American President has no policy. There are policies that outline the American authorities supervising the us administration, for example, the intelligence services, the Pentagon, big oil companies and arms manufacturers, financial institutions, in addition to some other lobbies that influence the decisions of the United States” − summed up the Syrian leader.
Earlier, Assad said that the chemical attack in Syria’s Idlib province were rigged, the USA and the terrorists who allegedly support Washington.
