A US court has sentenced the shooter in the Church of Charleston that killed nine African Americans, to death.

In June 2015, white American 22-year-old Dylan Ruth shot nine African Americans in a Church in Charleston in South Carolina. He was charged with committing a crime motivated by racial hatred and other crimes.
In December a jury found him guilty on all 33 counts. The young man offered to plead guilty in exchange for a guarantee of preserving his life, but prosecutors refused the transaction.
