MAU cancelled the ticket through the knowledge of the Ukrainian language
Employee of the UIA has canceled the ticket, passengers on their way to Kiev. The reason for the refusal was the fact that the communication in the Ukrainian language.
This was announced on his page in Facebook by the victim, a teacher at Columbia University Yuri Shevchuk.
At first everything went well. Behind the reception there were no problems, however, the worker of the airport decided to test whether Shevchuk, having a canadian passport, to stay in Ukraine longer than a specified period (90 days) and called a colleague. She was an employee of MAU.
On this occasion, Yuri Shevchuk decided to switch to communication in the Ukrainian language. However, the worker didn’t like it – she continued to communicate in Russian. Therefore, the teacher emphasized their desire to communicate in Ukrainian.
“The reaction of the elder was beyond my expectations. With a smile on her face the eldest of the UIA announces me that my ticket to Kiev cancelled. No evidence, documents, letters from my Agency confirming the fact of purchase and the validity of my ticket at the senior MAU not produce any impression. It is not without visible pleasure from his power over the client offers to me or stay in Barcelona, or to buy a new ticket to Kiev (paying for the luxury of speaking in Ukrainian), ” said the teacher.
In General, the conflict lasted nearly an hour, and, in the end, ended up that the Professor got on his plane at a pre-purchased ticket.
