Around Odessa airport is brewing “linguistic” conflict

The idea to plant such a greeting was offered on his page in the social network Odessa activist, initiator of the movement “Green city” Anatoly Kavun. However, he stressed that the project is still at the stage of ideas. “We have suggested that the land “alienation” (the space around the airport and runway. — Ed.) which still prohibited construction may be the perfect place for the sign,” — said Anatoly Kavun. And co-author of the project, ecoactivist Anton Novikov adds that it will be a long project. “For starters, you can have a festival of planting, and soon the sign will be visible from Earth’s orbit” — dreams Novikov.

Meanwhile, around the airport again escalated, this time linguistic. Policy-the nationalists complain that the word “Odessa” on the roof of the new terminal of the Odessa airport will be two and not one letter “s”. “On the roof of the airport is planned to place the inscription Odessa, although in accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, this message should look like Odesa” — said one of the politicians. He has written a number of official letters with the request to control the Ukrainian transliteration of “Odessa”.
