Archpriest recalled the basic rules of the celebration of Easter

In the night from Saturday to Sunday in all Orthodox churches held evening services.

Millions of Orthodox Ukrainians across the country will celebrate the 16th of April Easter. In the night from Saturday to Sunday in all churches will conduct Easter service. And on Sunday morning, the priests will consecrate the Easter cakes and colored eggs. On the eve of the holiday from Kiev to Israel for the Holy fire has traditionally sent a delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). Journalists learned how to hold the main Christian holiday.

On Saturday from Israel, the delegation of the UOC will bring the Holy fire to Ukraine. The delegation will meet representatives of the Orthodox Church from different regions of Ukraine, they will bring the Holy fire in temples throughout the country. At 23.00, says vicar of the Kyiv metropolis Bishop Nicholas, Primate Onufry will distribute fire in the capital.

After the consecration of the products in the temples (occurs in all arkah from morning till evening), the Ukrainians will continue the celebration at the table. Archpriest Volodymyr Kostochka sure to overeat and abuse alcohol in this day is not worth it.

“It is not forbidden to drink in the day, but it is better to postpone. The first week after Easter is called Bright week. People have tried this time not to lose the light of grace, people try daily to be employed, regardless of what tired after the Great lent, evening services. But people are not deprived myself of the Joy of a Great miracle. People to overeat and always play together enough in time. That’s what’s going to go. And what in the shower? Joy needs to be protected, it now is small, and the food, in spite of everything, a lot. So this Joy should be protected and nurtured. Our Holy Fathers said: post corporal ended, and the post spiritual needs continue,” says the priest.

Note, on the eve of Easter Ukrainians will go to Jerusalem with 100 copies of the wonderworking icons of the mother of God. “This is a unique event that will take place for the first time,” said the vicar of the Kyiv metropolis Bishop Nicholas.
