Apple is developing live TV.
Live streaming television broadcasting Apple, like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, will begin in the first half of next year.
The program will start with USA and will cover more than 100 countries a few months later.
The service may exist as a standalone application or within an existing TV app. Users will have the ability to sign up directly on the packages of channels offered by cable network providers, similar to the functionality of the channels Amazon.
For many years, the iPhone maker was less successful than competitors such as Amazon and Netflix, both of which created a powerful ecosystem, mixing licensed content and original shows. Although Apple since 2006, sold its set-top box device largely remained a channel for other media companies.
Apple seems willing to change that with the launch of their official streaming service television, which will be free for owners of iOS devices and will be the home interface of the Apple TV line.
The problem is that Apple seems to not want the software existed outside her own equipment, which may restrict the distribution of services. However, it reflects Apple’s approach to many other hardware and software products.
The obvious solution is the original show that Apple, reportedly, has allocated $1 billion only in 2018. In particular, Apple has signed multi-year contract with Oprah Winfrey to create new programs, ordered a couple of children’s show from the creators of sesame Street. There are also reports that the company is working on acquiring the rights to an animated film.
