Apple plans to strengthen its position in the market of music services buying Shazam.
The agreement was signed this week and will officially announce it on Monday.
The amount of the transaction is estimated at $401 million, while previously the company’s assets were estimated at $1.02 billion
Recall service Shazam helps you identify music or a visual snippet, to get all the necessary information about him followed by listening to popular music services, including Apple Music. In September 2016, Shazam boasted 1 billion downloads. How Apple plans to use the resources of Shazam, is still unknown. Waiting for official statements and/or comments from both sides.
