Apple leads in sales of wearable electronic devices

In the first place in the list of the largest suppliers broke Apple.

Strategy Analytics estimated that in the first quarter of this year worldwide were sold about 22.0 million different wearable devices — smart watches, fitness bracelets, etc.

The demand for wearable gadgets on an annual basis, increased by 21 %. It is noted that in the first quarter of 2016 was delivered 18.2 million of such electronic devices.

In the first place in the list of the largest suppliers broke Apple. For the year shipments of wearable gadgets, “Apple” Empire rose from 2.2 million to 3.5 million units. In the end, the company held 15.9% of the market.
In second place is Xiaomi. The company sold 3.4 million wearable devices, compared to 3.8 million a year earlier. The share of the Chinese supplier was 15.5 %.

“Bronze” went to the Fitbit, which managed to ship 2.9 million gadgets, which corresponds to 13.2% of the industry. For comparison: in the first quarter of 2016, the company shipped 4.5 million devices.

All other providers have implemented 12.2 million wearable gadgets. Their total market share was 55.5 %.
