Appeared spy photos of the new Audi Q3

Premiere of the new generation Audi Q3 expected in 2018.

Next generation Audi Q3 expected to be available in 2018, and the latest spy shots of the car confirm that the automaker will reveal an evolutionary look at his new rival the BMW X1. I guess the compact SUV will cost about 27,000 pounds.

Front panel Q3 will receive a revised grille, which will be shorter than the current model. Come and led lights to bring the interface in line with the recently updated A5 and A8. The profile is similar to the new Q5 on a smaller scale. Our exclusive image shows how the Q3 may look like after removing the camouflage.

The current model remained the oldest in the range of the automaker, and therefore within expected big changes. There will be a brand new salon and a new platform to meet the rest of the range. Given that the current Q3 are the mechanical components of the Volkswagen Golf Mk5, the novelty will move to the MQB platform, uses a large number of models of the VW Group, Skoda Kodiaq to the Audi TT.

The advantages of the new architecture are to reduce weight and increase cabin space and equipped with more economical engines including a hybrid drivetrain. The new model will have a track similar to the current Q3, but will be 60 mm longer and 50 mm wider, while the wheelbase is expected to also will be stretched by 50 mm. These changes in size will help to improve the usability, as Audi hopes to provide more space for rear seat passengers.

More ergonomic layout will get the instrument panel and center console. Display a “virtual salon” will replace the conventional instrument unit behind the steering wheel, while the dashboard that will be designed horizontally, not vertically, will increase the visual width of the cabin.

The new platform opens the possibility to equip the car next to power units with capacity from 1.5 to 2.0 litres and output from 148 to 218 HP. About a year after the release of the vehicle on the market promise a plug-in hybrid e-tron, which uses 1.4-liter TFSI engine and an electric motor with a promised fuel consumption of 1.9 l/100 km and emissions of CO2 below 40 g/km. Rumor has it that Audi is preparing a fully electric Q3, which can use components of the VW e-Golf.

The fastest model will be the RS Q3, with the latest version of five-cylinder turbocharged engine 394 HP, which will transmit torque to the full-drive quattro system via seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch.
