Company Antonov Airlines plans to create its own low-cost company.
In an interview with RBC-Ukraine said the Director of the company Antonov Airlines Mikhail Kharchenko.
“The question about the possibility of creating its own low-cost company had considered. Of course, it is troublesome and difficult area of the aviation business, with a huge share of responsibility, first of all, you need to maintain security at a high level,” – said Kharchenko.
In addition, he added that the company has plans to build Park Ruslan.
“Of course, there are plans to build Park Ruslan. But such planes are not produced. Therefore, to replenish the fleet, only buying Ruslana in other airlines,” he said.
According to him, these aircraft have four airlines – seven Airlines Antonov 12 at the Russian Volga-Dnepr, two Azerbaijani Silk Way Airlines and one from the Arab Maximus Air.
Two more aircraft, which ordered Libya even during the reign of Muammar Gaddafi – one is in Kiev, and the second in Libya, but in view of the prevailing situation in the country, they are not being exploited.
