The authorities of Oslo have decided to cancel the final stage of the biathlon world Cup due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus, reports sports.ru.
The race was to be held in Holmenkollen on March 20-22. The organizing Committee announced that the race will not be transferred and not deposited.
“First and foremost we are incredibly sad that I had to cancel the race. But at the same time, we 100% support the decision and recommendation of the authorities.
We take seriously the life and health of people and, as previously reported, has always been guided by information provided by the health authorities of Norway,” said the General Manager of the stage in Holmenkollen Christine Westgren Ceteras.
