According to the politician, Russia is using the tactic of pushing beyond Crimea.
With the annexation of the Crimea about 20 thousand Crimean Tatars left the Peninsula.
This was during a marathon “the Crimea. Three years of resistance,” said the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Cemil.
“About 20 thousand Crimean Tatars have already left Crimea. On our calls, they answer: “you can’t guarantee that tomorrow my son will not kill you.” Here we have nothing to answer,” – said Dzhemilev.
He also added that in respect of the Crimean Tatars Russia uses a different tactic – pushing beyond Crimea.
“Creates different conditions that Tatars have left the Peninsula. Immediately after the occupation there were fears that there will be a new deportation of the Crimean Tatars, this had all the prerequisites. But this did not happen,” – said Dzhemilev.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has repeatedly expressed concern about the persecution of citizens of Ukraine in Crimea, and urged Russia to stop putting pressure on local residents, to release all detainees and political prisoners.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine officially declared on 20 February 2014 beginning of the temporary occupation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. International organizations have recognized the occupation and annexation of Crimea as illegal and have condemned Russia’s actions. Western countries have imposed a series of economic sanctions. Russia denies its occupation of the Peninsula and calls it the “restoration of historical justice”.
