The German Chancellor wants to engage in a constructive dialogue with representatives of other powers.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that he would discuss the situation around North Korea with the leaders of Russia, USA and China.
She said this during the TV debates before the election of the Federal Chancellor of Germany.
“I will discuss the situation with the President of Russia, Chairman of the PRC. Of course, with Japan and South Korea, as well as with the American President,” said Merkel. She added that for Germany there is only a peaceful solution of the DPRK in the framework of diplomacy.
According to her, the EU should have a strong position on this issue.
Recall, the U.S. Treasury Department will prepare a package of sanctions against North Korea for the economic isolation of this country.
