Android under attack: millions of smartphones attacked by a dangerous virus

The virus attacks the gadgets with Android system.

The virus picked contacts from the smartphone’s phonebook and sent them pictures. On the device of those who opened the message, loaded the app with the extension apk.

It is worth noting that the virus for a long time does not affect the operation of the smartphone, so users are not immediately able to notice it.

It is noted that the developers of the virus have received a lot of revenue from advertising in the infected phones. At the moment, their income from a virus attack is estimated at $ 1500000.

According to Check Point Software Technologies, most of all, the virus affected countries in South-East Asia. Also victims of hackers have become 280 thousand Americans.
