Rock slide happened in the mine “Steppe”.
As told the Chronicle.info in a press-service GU gschs of Ukraine, the deadly incident took place on 2 March, about one o’clock, in the village of the deaf Sokal district, Lviv region.
So, at the mine No. 10 “the Steppe”, JSC “lvovugol” on the horizon 550 m 119-m the conveyor struck the rock.
At the time the mine was worked 172 miner. On an emergency site there were 34 workers.
As a result of the collapse of these, eight people died and six were injured. The wounded brought to the surface and hospitalized in medical institution.
The cause of the collapse is established.
