Police of the U.S. state of Montana began to prepare for the upcoming thanksgiving in an unusual way.
They hand out turkeys instead of fines to drivers stopped for traffic violations. Many motorists thank police for saving their festive evening.
Car owner Larry Ridd was stopped because I forgot to turn on the Blinker. Instead of a fine the police gave him a written warning and gave a frozen Turkey.
Ridd said that after his wife’s death to buy a Turkey for the holiday for it has become a problem, so American, perhaps for the first time, told police: “Thank you!”.
The idea is to give the Turkey the offending drivers came into the head of a businessman from Montana Steve Hauntings. He bought 20 frozen birds and agreed with the police on holding charity events.
Turkey was given only to those drivers, in cars which the guards did not find anything forbidden.
