The finals of a prestigious cooking competition Bocuse d’or was held in the French city of Lyon.
Chefs from USA won the culinary contest Bocuse d’or (“Golden Bocuse”), considered the most prestigious in the world. In the finals, which ended on Wednesday evening, 25 January, in Lyon, the main prize went to the team of Matthew Peters.
Second place went to chefs from Norway, the third was the Icelanders.
In the final of the Bocuse d’or was found recognized masters of Haute cuisine from 24 countries. They had to submit to the jury their interpretation of the dish “pork with clams”. In particular, in the final part of the competition was attended by teams from Morocco, Uruguay, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Iceland and Estonia.
As noted on the website of the competition, chefs can use ingredients from a list of 146 products. The participants were allowed to use just two ingredients from their homeland to reflect the cultural and culinary heritage of their countries.
