MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. The weakening of the ruble should not soon lead to price growth in the Russian online stores, told TASS the President of the Association of companies the Internet-trade (AKIT) Artem Sokolov.
“As for Russian online stores, these changes do not occur as quickly because the sites always have the volume of inventory, turnover which is approximately two months or 60 days. Thus, changes will be deferred and will be less noticeable to the buyer,” said Sokolov, commenting on the possibility of rising prices due to the weakening of the ruble.
First and foremost, prices for Russians will increase on foreign Internet sites, he said. “Indeed, the volatility of exchange rates affects the trade market, including electronic. The most sensitive and rapid changes can be the case if the online store foreign. In the case of the weakening of the national currency, rising prices for these sites we will see tomorrow,” said the President of AKITA.
