Airport “Borispol” are planning a massive rebuild

There will be new terminals.

Terminals B and F at the airport “Borispol” in the future it is planned to demolish for the expansion of the existing terminal D as part of a large-scale hub-and-spoke model of development of the airport.

This was stated by the commercial Director of the airport “Borispol” Georgy Zubko in his blog on the website of the Center for transport strategies.

“If we talk about the ways of development of Boryspil airport in the coming years, such large-scale restructuring of infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. The old terminal B and F will be demolished as outdated design and bad planning of these complexes cannot be upgraded. Instead, they will construct five new terminal, a large operating center, hotel, Parking, a special gallery for the passage of transit passengers,” said Zubko in his column.

According to him, the gallery of terminal D will be gradually expanded in the direction of the terminal, which will increase the number of gates.

“For the next five years, the construction project cost estimate is at least 10 billion hryvnia. First, from terminal D towards terminal B will be completed gallery, which will increase the number of gates by 6 units and expanded the area of treatment and sorting of Luggage, extended the apron in front of terminal D, and the maximum passenger traffic will grow to 15 million passengers per year”, — said the commercial Director of the airport.
