The court decided to take away Kolomoisky airline in favor of the state.
The decision of economic court on representation of the Dnipropetrovsk regional Prosecutor’s office on 30 March, it was agreed 94.5% of shares of PJSC Aviation company Dniproavia (Dnipro) to write off in favor of the state.
This was announced by Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko on his Facebook page.
“Boris Filatov, it seems, saved a lot. The new airport won’t have to build,” writes Lutsenko.
We will remind that the mayor of the Dnipro Boris Filatov appealed to the leadership of the state with a request to help in the de-monopolization of the local airport.
“The city of one million has no airport. He belongs to a private owner who is abusing a monopoly position. It causes absolutely clear irritation among the citizens. And I would ask the government to assist the city in resolving the matter with the airport,” he was quoted as saying by Interfax-Ukraine.
Earlier, in February 2017, the Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian pointed out the limitation of the market for airlines from the international airport of the Dnipro.
“All airports are on the rise. Except for one thing – the city’s Dnipro, where he decided to play monopoly and to restrict the market”, – he noted.
According to the State aviation service of Ukraine, the Dnipro airport in 2016, passenger traffic decreased by 17.7 percent. The reduction in passenger traffic last year was marked, in addition to Dnipro only airport Uzhgorod.
