For nyligt var det danske fly-afvisningsberedskab på vingerne for rutinemæssigt at kigge nærmere på en meget sjælden gæst over Østersøen omkring Bornholm – en russisk TU-95 langdistancebombemaskine med NATO-Callsign ”BEAR”, der kun er i området set on gange tidligere. Selvom sine fire med flyet motorer er meget stort, det har ikke desto mindre rekorden som verdens hurtigste serieproducerede propeldrevne fly. De danske F-16 fulgte flyet i god ro og orden, imens befandt sig i det internationalt luftrum nær det danske og derefter returnerede til Fighter Wing Skrydstrup.
