In Kiev on Saturday, April 8, kicks off the Festival of Easter eggs before the Easter holiday, which this year falls on April 16.
The festival will span three locations – Sofia and Mikhailovskaya square and Vladimirsky passage.
The event will run until April 23 and this year it will feature a record number of Easter eggs – 585.
At the Sofia area will accommodate 374 author eggs, and at the Vladimir passage – 100. On Mikhaylovskaya square will be presented 111 Easter eggs created by children.
The festival also will show private collections of Easter eggs outstanding artists and will open the Museum with a themed ice sculptures. The event will provide master-classes on painting Easter eggs.
On Mikhaylovskaya square will house a children Playground on the territory of which will establish more than 10 rides, in particular, a Ferris wheel and a maze of huge pencils.
