Accounting chamber: Ukraine’s economy in the first half rose

GDP growth in the 1st half of the year amounted to 2.4%.

Growth in real gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in January-June 2017 2.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.

This was reported by the press service of the accounting chamber.

As noted, the budget revenues for this period reached 394,9 billion UAH, which is 53.3% of the annual plan and by 48.7% more than in the same period of the previous year.

A higher level of implementation of the annual plan of revenues is due, in particular, enrollment into a special Fund confiscated assets and funds derived from the sale of property confiscated by the court for corruption and related corruption offences in the sum, which exceeded the planned volume by 2.6 times.

The chamber also reports that from privatization of state property did 110,8 million UAH, or 1.7% of the plan reporting period.

We will remind that earlier the Ministry of economic development estimated GDP growth in January-June 2017 2.5%.
