Boy with cerebral palsy has conquered the highest point of Ukraine.
Thanks to the friends and say La Joelette Ivan Maslyuk, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, conquered the highest point of Ukraine – mount Hoverla.
This was told by one of the participants of the initiative, Alexander lucyk.
According to the guy, when he traveled to France, met with an organization that helps people with disabilities to actively spend time on special wheelchairs.
For us it was a revelation. And we decided to do the same in Ukraine. It seems to us unfair that people with disabilities in Ukraine is closed in special boarding schools, parents are ashamed of their children, and society does not perceive them, or are afraid,— said lucyk.
During the first trip to Hoverla went 7 people, 5 of whom helped carry the stroller with Ivan Maslyuk.
Just this summer, the guys plan to make more than 10 trips to the mountains. Among the travelling will not necessarily just people with disabilities: the project was conceived as inclusive.
Lucyk added that do not have to wait for our next trip — if there will be a team that wants to involve travel of a person with a disability, the team will be ready to give them for this special wheelchair.
