Groysman said that the situation is difficult.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the emergency measures in the energy sector for another month. The decision was taken at a government meeting on Thursday, March 16.
“Propose to extend emergency measures in the energy sector to ensure stable passing difficulties”, – said the Prime Minister-the Minister Vladimir Groysman.
In turn, the Minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik added that the measures were extended to the unified energy system worked normally.
“Despite the fact that the energy sector has created emergency conditions for the functioning for the last 60 days, I have to say that United energy system of Ukraine works in a regular mode, no restrictions on the consumption of rolling blackouts by the efforts of the Ministry and Cabinet no. And the fact that we raised this question back in July, played also a big role,” said Nasalik.
Agree with him and Groisman, who said that the situation is difficult.
“What we have prevented rolling blackouts, suggests that we are perfectly prepared for winter. We have created a margin of safety because we knew that we will block the supply. Only I thought they will do it themselves, and they did it for other people,” – said the Prime Minister.
Groisman also said that the problem lies in the disappearance of the margin of safety.
“Emergency measures, and it’s not an emergency, allow us to change the regulatory regimes and the functioning of the energy system. But it may not work for wear. But we all do to minimise and remove any negative consequences,” – said the Prime Minister.
