Ukraine and Russia has threatened new sanctions.
Representatives of the European broadcasting Union, who are the organizers of “Eurovision-2017”, can penalize Russia and Ukraine for the breach of the so-called Statute of the international song contest.

As noted Frayling, Kiev retreated from the rules of the competition, allegedly not providing admission to participation in competition the representative of Russia Yulia Samoilova. According to the organizers of the EMU, this is a direct “violation of the Charter”.
Freiling added that Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman promised to allow the participation of all the contestants of “Eurovision-2017”.
In turn, Russia can be “punished” because he did not participate in the various meetings in the Ukrainian capital on the eve of the competition. This gesture by the organizers, also regarded as a violation of the Charter.
According to the source, the imposition of sanctions members of the Union will be discussed at the next meeting, which will take place on 12 June. Frailing said, there is no doubt that the sanctions on Russia and Ukraine, the only question is the severity of the punishment — the country may be obliged to pay compensation or even to exclude from participation in “Eurovision” for the next three years.
