Local military court found the man guilty of insulting the Royal family in social network
A young man by the name of Vich has published a total of ten photos, videos and comments in social media that violate strict rules on insulting Thailand’s Royal family.
33-year-old man accused in that he made abusive posts with a fake page that supposedly registered in the name of HIV, with whom he has recently quarreled.
HIV at first denied the allegations, but after spending more than a year in prison, he changed his mind and confessed to the crime.
At first the men wanted to put on as much as 70 years, but later the sentence was commuted to 35 years of imprisonment.
Thailand’s laws prohibit any criticism of the monarchy.
