It became known that the promising “blood feast” directed by Marcel Waltz will be released in cinemas in the US and Canada this summer. Fans of the original authorship of Hershel Gordon Lewis shaking right now in anticipation.
In March, we wrote about what the painting should arrive in limited release on April 28, however, distributors Hannover House and Crimson Forest Entertainment Group invited the creators of another date and more favorable terms: the show will be organized much broader than it was planned.
That said Eric Parkinson of Hannover House company:
The enthusiasm for this official remake was stunning. We are flooded with calls and emails from horror media and fans across the country who want to make sure that we show “Feast” at their local cinema, or they report that they have a large group of like-minded people willing to organize such a display. We did not need much time to understand what is of great interest to the original film, which was released on video, sparked the enthusiasm of fans who want to see an official remake. Expanding our theatrical plans for the national release in mid-summer proves our confidence in the commercial attractiveness of the film.
Well, the better and louder will be the release of the tape over the hill, the faster and more accurately they will reach our lands. It is clear that such a gesture, dismemberment and cannibalism in Russian cinemas will not work, but at least in some form we will see.
Recall the synopsis of “Blood feast”:
Fuad Ramses together with the family moved from the US to France, where he opened an American restaurant. Alas, business was not too successful, and Fuad was forced to moonlight as a night watchman in the Museum of ancient Egyptian culture. Spending long nights in the Museum, Fuad is gradually becoming possessed by the goddess Ishtar, who “talks” to him in his visions. This obsession brings Fuad to murder and cannibalism. Folding in pieces of the body before the altar of Ishtar, Fuad more crazy, turning into a submissive puppet of the bloodthirsty goddess…
