A few days ago it became known that a remake of the cult SF Thriller John carpenter’s “Escape from new York” (Escape from New York, 1981) will remove Robert Rodriguez. At first it was just a rumor, but it quickly received a confirmation, when the carpenter on Twitter wrote:
Robert Rodriguez will film ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. I love it. Robert the great!
And now the first trailer for the upcoming film… However, this is just a fan trailer which is a montage frames and scenes from several other films (I know “death race” Paul W. Anderson, for example). However, tastefully done, cheerfully. And, quite likely, something like we just see in the end when the remake is released.
