A powerful storm hit the country. Video

Dozens of villages remain without electricity.

Employees of the Moldovan Department of emergency situations and civil protection are working in emergency mode to eliminate the effect of hurricane destruction on the eve of the country, and torrential rain with hail.

As have informed in a press-service of the Department, as a result of hurricane dozens of settlements in 15 regions of Moldova remain without electricity.

There are also conducted works on restoration of the destroyed roofs of houses and educational institutions. A special Commission is working to assess the damage caused by torrential rains with hail in Cialiscom and kantemirskogo areas where hail had damaged about 6 thousand hectares of vineyards.

Work also continues on clearing the streets from the numerous trees that had been felled by hurricane, in the Moldovan capital Chisinau.
