Ophelia is already 15 tropical storm this year, formed in the Atlantic ocean
Monday, October 16, as a result of hurricane Ophelia in Ireland killed two people.
As the newspaper writes, the woman died due to the fact that part of the tree fell on her car. A man died trying to cut with a chainsaw the downed storm tree.
The wind gusts from the South coast of Ireland reach 109 mph (176 km/h). More than 360 thousand people now left without electricity.
People are warned about the “potential danger to life” and warned against travel when necessary.
As reported by Irish meteorologists, Ophelia may become a powerful storm that covered the island for the last 50 years.
In social networks, local residents post photos and video of consequences of the storm. Some users managed to fix, as the wind rips the roof of a building.
Earlier it was reported that due to the proximity of the Atlantic, hurricane Ophelia in the Western part of Ireland declared red (highest) level of risk.
Recall, tropical storm Ophelia formed over the Atlantic ocean, intensified and became a hurricane.
Later national center of the United States for the prevention of hurricanes reported that hurricane Ophelia has intensified to a category.
