In Northern Japan a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 points.
As reported by the national meteorological administration of the country, the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pacific ocean East of Hokkaido Prefecture, and the center lies at a depth of 40 km.
Information on casualties or damage were reported, the tsunami threat was not announced.
