German scientists have made stem cells more available.
In recent years, scientists attach great importance to the possibility of using mesenchymal stem cells in medicine. It is mainly about diseases that manifest immediately after birth. With mesenchymal stem cells associated with these diseases, they are a means of therapy.
Researchers from University hospital Dresden in conjunction with the Center for regenerative therapies Dresden at the Technical University of Dresden announced the creation of a new method of obtaining mesenchymal stem cells from the umbilical cord.
Scientists say that it is possible to get a lot more stem cells and in better quality than conventional methods.
Supported by the German Federal Ministry of economy and energy and the European Union the authors of the method I hope in the next two years to establish the production of cell products for clinical trials.
