At least 11 people were killed and another 70 were injured in a fire at the hotel Regent Plaza in Karachi, Pakistan.
The fire started early Monday morning, the 5th of December. The fire was in the kitchen. Climbing up the fire “keeping guests and staff in the building,” reports the Tribune. Firefighters and rescuers arrived on the scene and fought the fire for three hours.
Officials at the hospital said that 70 of the injured, 30 are in critical condition.
“The greatest number of deaths were caused by suffocation,” said Simin Jamali, head of emergency services. According to him, among the dead three foreigners.
