A large-scale accident in the United States: the military ship crashes into oil tanker

Search operation continues

The ship of naval forces of the United States USS John S McCain collided with a merchant vessel off the coast of Singapore. Five members of the crew of a warship were injured. Ten more people were missing.

This was reported by the press service of the seventh fleet of the U.S. Navy.

A US Navy destroyer was moving in the port of Singapore. Warship collision damaged the stern of the oil tanker Alnic MC.

The collision occurred at 00:24 Moscow time (6:24 Japan standard time). As of 04:00 (10:00) an American ship was divorced and back on track.

A search operation involving boats, helicopters and patrol ships to Singapore continues.

The total number of sailors on both vessels is not reported. The analysis and determination of the extent of damage to vessels and injuries to crew members.

As previously reported, in a mountainous area in the South-West of Switzerland crashed light aircraft Piper Warrior II HB PTL, three people were killed.
