16-year-old American died from an overdose of caffeine

Presumably 16-year-old student consumed about 470 mg of caffeine in just two hours.

Sixteen-year-old teenager from the U.S. state of South Carolina died from too rapid consumption of multiple drinks with high caffeine content, has set a post-mortem examination.

The tragedy happened in April during school hours. Davis kripa suddenly lost consciousness and died.

As found by post-mortem examination before his death the teenager had a latte from McDonald’s, a large soft drink Mountain Dew and some energy. All three drinks he’d consumed in just two hours.

The young man had not had a heart diseases, and although its 16 years, Davis weighed in at 90 kg, it was not registered as suffering from obesity, said coroner Gary watts.

Doctors say that energy side effects, including causing arrhythmia and jumps in blood pressure.

One serving of most energy drinks contain the caffeine equivalent of three cups of coffee and 14 teaspoons of sugar, reminds the American Academy of Pediatrics.
